Welcome to Zestasiá!
A blog created by me, Faheema. I am an 18-year-old Muslim female living in South Africa. Lovely to meet you, fellow human!
The word 'zestasiá' is of Greek origin and it means 'warmth'. For me, warmth is to comfort, it's reassurance and peace. And the only thing I have ever wanted in this life is to bring about peace and happiness to people.
You're probably thinking that I am delusional as hell but hey, a girl can dream of a better world and I'm going to make it happen.
Mark. My. Words.
I am generally really introverted by nature and I get socially anxious in a lot of situations. My coping mechanism is... laughter. I mean, why not make the situation even more awkward by telling bad jokes, am I right?
Fun Fact:
My personality type is apparently INFJ and it's not as exciting as PsychologyToday paints it out to be. It is really interesting though.
I enjoy reading. I don't mind any genre but I tend to favour Fantasy, Romance and Contemporary. Reading is what inspires me to write because when I see the difference some authors make just through their work, I get inspired to try and do the same thing.

I do enjoy painting and drawing as well, a skill I only discovered this year. I am no Di Vinci or Van Gogh but yo, I can draw a MEAN flower.

I do attempt to draw other things but baby steps, Michelangelo did not paint the frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican overnight people!
I am a proud Muslim. I love my religion and I cannot wait to share the beauty of my religion with you. For now, all you need to know is that Islam is not anything bad and more than whatever you see on the news or on the internet.
I speak a lot about mental health, suicide, self-love, Islamophobia, racism, sexism and pretty much all the things other people tend to ignore.
Positivity is a huge thing for me and although I was never always the most positive person in the room, I am now :)
Hmmm... what else?
I'm the youngest of 4 children and no, being the youngest isn't the best. But it is definitely better than being the oldest or the middle child.
I get really obsessed with things, like in a very unhealthy way. Example of things I will forever be obsessed with is:
- Supernatural
-Books
- Disney
-Ironman (RIP)
-Book characters
-Quotes
-Cats
-Panda Bears
-Art
-Vintage items
And so on and so forth.
So yeah. This is pretty much me.
And I'm not sure what else to say so before things get more awkward for me *awkward chuckle*... I am going to bid you adieu.
