Hey there, lovely people!!!
This months guest is the ever adorable Humairaa Kuwadia. You may know her from her bookstagram handle @hijabi_reads. She is a 16-year-old who loves all things bookish.
She is an avid reader, animal lover and would rather spend her day in bed with a good book and a huge bowl of ice cream! Some of her hobbies include reading (of course!), cooking and swimming. Her all-time favourite books are Love from A to Z by S.K Ali and She Wore Red Trainers by Na'imah B Roberts, (which she definitely recommends because the representation is FIRE!!!).
Humairaa has decided to talk about the Bookstagram community and I honestly love that idea!!!!
She would like to show her appreciation and love for her fellow bookstagrammers and she did a pretty good job at expressing it (✿◠‿◠)
Enjoy her adorable fangirling and don't forget to check out her bookstagram @hijabi_reads!!!

I only just started my Bookstagram a few months ago and it has been an AWESOME few months! I'm going to start off by describing a bookstagram as a lot of people ask me what it is... Basically, a Bookstagram is an Instagram account where users talk about yes, you guessed it, books! New releases, favourites, reviews and to generally rant and fangirl/fanboy over things that normal society wouldn't understand!
The Bookstagram community is filled with amazing people who all share the love for not only books, but series, bands, and movies too! (Fangirl and Fanboy Heaven!) Everyone is so supportive and loving! I was a bit sceptical to start my account because I always thought, "No way can I have posts as beautiful as the bookstagram accounts that are on my feed!" But thanks to the awesome Nasirah (@allthinglightwood) and the amazing Simoné (@i_shouldnt_have_read_that), who were so encouraging, I finally started my account and my oh my! #noregrets!
Everyone made me feel so at home and gave me such a warm welcome! It was a wonderful experience! I've made a TON of new friends from all around the world through my bookstagram account ranging from Cape Town all the way to overseas countries such as England and India!
(Shoutout to some of my favourite accounts: @zestasia_reads, @south_african_fangirl, @fandomsandfiction_, @sixofwoes and @stayathomebibliophile)
I participated for the first time in a book swap and have broadened my reading horizons quite a bit! I've also had the opportunity to review books, which has allowed me to step out of my reading comfort zone and explore new genres! Who knew there were so many books out there!😍 Books mean a lot to me... It's my favourite escape from reality and reading allows me to travel all over, even though I'm too broke to buy a plane ticket!🙈😂 The bookstagram community is a wonderful place and I'm super grateful to be a part of it!

This touched my heart mostly because I can see how much the bookstagram community means to Humairaa. She is such a lovely person to speak to and she expresses herself really well through words.
JazakAllah to Humairaa for contributing to my blog and for being one of my first bookstagram friends (*^▽^*)
